DESCRIPTION & BENEFITS OF PROJECT:

High Speed Doors

Due to Pepsi inventory having a fast turnover, the Service Bay areas are a high traffic environment. This makes having durable and fast cycling doors a priority.
Northern Dock Systems installed 2 M&I Re-Coil Away Rubber High Speed Doors
The M & I Rubber Door is the world's toughest roll up door that cycled fast enough to deal with the high turnover rate of product. The door curtain and bottom beam are able to absorb impact and reassemble within minutes. Translating into time and money savings for Pepsi.
Installed 2 High Speed Bug Doors that are interlocked with the M& I Rubber Doors.
The High Speed Bug Doors allowed for air flow in the summer and natural light through the door opening while creating a screened barrier that stopped birds, bugs, and rodents from entering the Pepsi facility.

Big Ass Fans

Pepsi Distribution Centre is a 420,000 sq. ft facility that was experiencing heat loss through the roof, resulting in extremely high energy costs during the winter. Employees were left cold while the heat remained stuck at the ceiling level, resulting in an extreme differential between the ceiling and floor.
Northern Dock Systems Installed 8 Power foil X Fans
Following the Installation - The fans operated at a lower speed during the winter months, and therefore didn't produce the draft often associated with fan circulation. The Big Ass Fans worked to decrease resource consumption through destratification and resulted in significant energy savings.
Pepsi received a one-time rebate from Enbridge Gas of $19,398
Pepsi will save an estimated $58,178 per year in natural gas

Loading Docks

Northern Dock Systems installed (29) 50,000 lbs Air Powered Dock Levelers complete with the flex-lip option. The Air Powered Dock Levelers are operated by push button, and come with un-matched warranties.
Since the installation of the Air Powered Levelers complete with the flex lip - It has allowed Pepsi to have level loading and unloading for all heights of trailers. This has reduced personnel injury and extended the life of fork and pallet truck components.
