DESCRIPTION & BENEFITS OF PROJECT:
Big Ass Fans
- Winners Mississauga Distribution Centres have high ceilings in the warehouse which forced gas heaters to run constantly in order to keep the environment warm enough for both occupants and products. While the temperature at the ceiling level remained a comfortable and consistent temperature, the floor level was experiencing uncomfortable and inconsistent temperatures.
- Northern Dock Systems Installed 37 Powerfoil X Plus Fans at 2 Winners Distribution Centres in the Greater Toronto Area.
- Following the installation of the Big Ass Fans - Winners Distribution Centres were able to balance the temperature in their warehouse space. Creating a comfortable, controlled atmosphere while reducing energy consumption in the winter months.
- Winners received a one-time rebate from Enbridge Gas of $27,500
- Winners will reduce their carbon footprint by over 272,000 cubic metres of gas and save an estimated $82,000 a year in natural gas consumption.
AeroTec Fans
- Winners hand-bombs a large quantity of their overseas container in their shipping and receiving area. In the summer the trailers get hot and stale, and in the winter the air is cold and stale.
- Northern Dock Systems installed 104 Aerotec Fans - designed to continually pull new air into the trailer and push old air out.
Seals & Shelters
- Winners Distribution Centres were losing a considerable amount of energy due to their trailers not being sealed properly at their loading docks. The old shelters had open gaps that exposed the facility to the outside environment and provided opportunity for foreign substances to negatively affect their operations.
- Northern Dock Systems installed 24 Foam Frame Shelters - designed for superior sealing capability. Providing safe, productive & energy efficient loading docks.
