THE CHALLENGE
Prime Pastries needed to replace a damaged freezer door in their facility to help contain a -20°C room at all times. This freezer door had been damaged in the bottom corner allowing cold air to leak out and infiltrate the main corridor.
In addition to the cosmetic appearance and loss of cooling, the door presented a safety concern from the sharp edges of the door material. This damaged door created an immediate safety concern to employees and posed a series risk of damage to product and equipment.
THE SOLUTION
To provide an air tight solution, the damaged door and frame were removed and a new Coldmatic insulated manual swing freezer door including heat trace was installed.
By installing a new frame and replacing the heat trace, it provided a proactive deterrent for frost and condensation to form.
