The Energy-Efficient Food Processing Door
The Speed-Commander 1400 SEL Food-Master high-speed interior door is highly energy-efficient with fast opening speeds of up to 80″/second and closing speeds of up to 30″/second without compromising on safety. It incorporates a coil-free built-in light grid up to eight feet high and utilizes a soft bottom edge that automatically reverses in case of accidental impact, greatly reducing maintenance costs. The light grid remains as an effective protection device even following wash-down. This food processing door also comes with a standard, full-width vision panel with 40 oz./sq. yard white PVC fabric to provide maximum visibility for personnel in high-traffic areas.
Stainless Steel Options for Ultimate Flexibility
Food-Master’s unique design allows you to pick and choose stainless steel options that are specifically required for your application. Conveniently build a customized food-grade door without paying for unnecessary stainless steel options. The 1400 SEL Food-Master door has stainless steel options available for the roll tube/shaft, door/motor cover, guide tracks and/or all hardware.
Food-Grade Panel Materials
1400 SEL Food-Master is available with two food-grade panel materials: the standard is a 40 oz./sq. yard white nylon-reinforced, puncture-resistant PVC, perfect for basic applications. An optional 90 oz./sq. yard 100% FDA-approved white polyurethane panel material is available when optimum compliance is needed. The 40 oz./sq. yard material is available with a vision panel, which is not available in the 90 oz./sq. yard model. With either material, the panel maintains stability via spring steel stiffeners located in completely sealed panel pockets.
SoftEdge for Enhanced Safety
The SoftEdge prevents damage and cuts down on downtime. Unlike rigid door profiles that often need major repairs after a crash, SoftEdge bends and absorbs impact, making repairs quick and easy.
This smart design keeps your door running smoothly and helps maintain steady production without interruptions.
Wireless Breakaway Switch for Easy Reset
The wireless breakaway switch is hidden inside the SoftEdge bottom profile. If the bottom is pushed out of the side tracks during a crash, the switch sends a signal to stop the door right away. This smart system helps protect the door and lets it run for up to 3 years without needing maintenance, no matter how often it’s used.

The Speed-Commander 1400 SEL features a sectional panel design for quick and easy replacement. Panels slide smoothly into horizontal aluminum profiles, thanks to specially shaped edges and strong aluminum connectors.
The Food-Master offers two panel material options:
- Standard: A durable 40 oz./sq. yard white PVC with nylon reinforcement—puncture-resistant and ideal for everyday use.
- Optional: A heavy-duty 90 oz./sq. yard white polyurethane panel—100% FDA approved for applications that require top-level compliance.
Low-Profile Guide Tracks
The ultra-compact, heavy-duty guide tracks are engineered to fit seamlessly into tight spaces and demanding environments. With an overall width of just 7-3/8” and a projection of 4-3/8”, these low-profile tracks offer maximum durability without compromising on space. Ideal for applications where clearance is limited, they provide reliable performance and long-lasting support for high-speed or high-cycle doors.
