Stop Trailer Creep Before It Starts
Trailer creep remains one of the most significant safety concerns at the loading dock. As forklifts move in and out of trailers, repeated impact can gradually push a trailer away from the building, creating dangerous gaps between the trailer and dock.
The patented POSILOCK two-position locking system automatically secures the trailer at the closest available locking point, helping maintain stability throughout loading and unloading operations while significantly reducing trailer movement.
The restraint automatically engages the nearest locking position and mechanically secures the trailer within a horizontal working range of either 10″ or 13″ from the building face. This two-stage locking mechanism helps minimize trailer movement and maintain stability throughout loading operations, significantly reducing the effects of trailer creep.

The IVR303 also features SMARTRELEASE, an intelligent release system designed to manage pressure-related release issues caused by trailer creep. If excessive pressure prevents release, the system automatically signals the driver to reposition the trailer and safely disengages once the pressure is relieved. Without the need for the dock attendant to disengage the restraint again.

If it fails to release, it signals to the driver to back up with flashing red and green lights, and then the restraint automatically tries again after 10 seconds.
This automated process minimizes downtime, reduces operator intervention, and helps keep dock operations moving efficiently.

The IVR303 helps support “no boots on the ground” safety initiatives by reducing the need for workers to manually interact with trailer restraints in active loading areas. Through automated engagement, monitoring, and release functions, personnel can stay safely inside while the system does the work.

Compensation Float allows the StrongArm IVR303 to automatically adjust to trailer movement caused by forklift traffic and suspension rebound while maintaining secure RIG engagement. The restraint bounces with the trailer, to help keep trailers safely restrained throughout loading and unloading operations.
