Furthermore, their large drive-in doors would allow conditioned air to escape, along with letting other contaminants in anytime they were opened to let their trucks in or out.

Upgrading to High-Performance Dock Seals & Air Curtains

To eliminate air gaps and improve energy efficiency, our team completed a full retrofit across 7 dock positions and 2 drive-in doors.

Dock Seal Upgrade

We removed and replaced all existing seals with new Blue Giant Head Curtain Dock Seals (BG200) designed to create a tight, energy-efficient seal around every truck.

• 24″ drop head curtains to accommodate varying trailer heights and seal larger openings.
• 4″ wear pleats providing four layers of fabric protection for extended durability.
• Tight compression seal that prevents air leakage and keeps conditioned air inside.
• Blocks dust, moisture, pests, and contaminants from entering the facility.

Dock seal sizes ranged from 8′ x 9′ to 8′ x 10′, ensuring a custom fit for each dock door.

Air Curtain Installation

For large 14′ x 16′ drive-in doors, industrial air curtains (IDC14) were installed to create an invisible barrier of air. Keeping doors open for productivity while maintaining indoor climate control.
